Food is a very important source that we as humans use for different body functions.
It also affects health, so it is important what to eat for your kidneys to be healthy. For more information about why it is so important to eep your kidneys in good health, you can read the previous article here.
WHAT FOODS ARE GOOD FOR YOUR KIDNEYS?
All foods that are from nature like vegetables, nuts and seeds, fruits, beans, peas, whole grains, lean meats, etc. are good for the body. The exception is those people who have an allergic reaction. Processed foods are not good for the health because they contain a lot of chemicals, fillers, preservatives, and other components.
PROCESSED FOODS BAD FOR KIDNEYS:
- Packed in BPA (bisphenol) (read a new research about its risk) BPA is liked to diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity
- Soda
- Canned beans
- Soup
Many frozen foods are still good like fish, frozen vegetables, etc. because they still contain a high amount of nutrients, vitamins, and other essential substances. You should also follow the labels to identify foods to avoid kidney health. Most of the good foods don’t have more than six ingredients.
FOODS BAD FOR KIDNEYS:
- Rich in pesticides (apples, peaches, strawberries, grapes, spinach, cherry tomatoes, potatoes, etc.) – most thin-skinned fruits and vegetables
- Fast food – poor ingredients, cheaply prepared (e.g., deeply fried), rich in calories, salt, etc.
Look for organic foods, as they don’t have GMOs and other chemicals. Salad bars are one of the dishes that you can make fast.

You think so you just need to eat more food with proteins? Many people consume too much of protein and kidneys have problems to get rid of their waste. Also our Mor’s Nutrition Balance Cellular Phytonutrient Protein supplement and other adjustments have helped people in may practice.
- Foods rich in salt are good as the body needs sodium (for blood pressure and fluid balance): bacon
- Foods that are don’t have too high levels of phosphorus (dairy products, fish, beans, poultry, meat, cola drinks have high amount of it)
- Rich in potassium but not too much! You need to know your limit to keep safe and protect the heart. Foods that contain very high levels of potassium, and you might need to limit are bananas, avocados, carrot juice, beets, dried fruit, mangos, oranges, potatoes, spinach, low-fat yogurt, etc.
