Cooked Wild Salmon with Ginger, Garlic, Jalapeño & Cilantro

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ lbs fresh (or frozen) organic wild salmon cut into 2-4 pieces
  • 1 organic chopped white onion
  • ½ cup squeezed organic fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup organic fresh chopped ginger
  • 2-4 organic fresh chopped cloves of garlic
  • ¼ organic fresh chopped jalapeño (to taste)
  • ¼ cup organic fresh chopped cilantro
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup of water

Directions:

  • In a large pot, bring chicken broth and water to a boiling point, then reduce heat
  • Add white onion and cook for 2-3 minutes
  • Place wild salmon on top of the onion; keep cooking for 3-5 minutes
  • Flip salmon and cook for 2-3 more minutes or until both sides are ready (no more than 10 minutes both sides as overcooking is one of the biggest mistakes that you want to avoid)
  • Sauce: In a separate bowl, mix lemon juice with ginger, garlic, jalapeño, cilantro, salt & pepper.
  • Sprinkle the sauce on top of the wild salmon and serve immediately
